About 听
听 (ting1)
It means “listen”.
The URL (4ting) was chosen for 4 reasons:
- 听 (ting1) is similar in pronounciation to a character in my Chinese name, 慧(hui4)婷(ting2).
- This blog is meant for me to “speak” my thoughts… and hopefully someone would “listen”.
- 4ting… does it not sound like “faulting”? In a way I’ve always been faulting myself, or others. But here, mostly myself, I think.
- This place is for me, and people I care for. It’s “for” me.
